Remember 2 Filming in Progress!

Hi, Chrissa here!

I have some super exciting news to share! We are right in the middle of filming for 'Remember 2' :D Are you guys excited? I am! I'm so thrilled to be starring in another movie again with Isabelle and Nicki! :)

The movie is going to be titled "Remember 2: Journey to Elsewhere" and it's about Julia's physical and spiritual journey to find her elsewhere and protect the ones she loves.

There will be some characters returning, as well as some new faces :) Now, I'm not going to give away any characters but some of the actors include: Addie, Saige, and Alyssa's little brother Gavin.

Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperating lately and we haven't been able to do any outdoor filming... and that's all that needs to be done before the movie is complete (well, aside from editing). But as soon as we have a good day, we'll be sure to get out there and film like crazy!

Looking Forward to September

Hey guys, it's Rae!

Today I have some exciting things to share with you, all of which are coming up in the month ahead! 

I can't believe that it's the end of August already :( I swear, 2014 has been the fastest year ever! It's like it went through every day of ever month at super speed! 

But I have a LOT to look forward to in September :) (See, I'm trying to stay positive!) One very awesome thing that will be happening (hopefully this week!!!) is that I'm finally getting my very own laptop! :D 

Ever since I joined AGtube, I've been using my mom's laptop for editing and such, and it's now time for me to get my own. Not only do I need it for my videos and editing, but I also just so happen to need it for school this year! 

Another exciting thing that will be happening in September is the release of "Remember 2"!! I've had a few very eager fans make some requests for a second "Remember" movie, and it will DEFINITELY happen. I just have to wait for my new laptop before I can edit and upload. But I will start filming it now :) 

Merging off the topic of movies, I will also be releasing the second season of "Life En Pointe".  I honestly don't know if anybody even cares about that, but I'm still going to release a second season. Maybe the show will do better now that I have a better camera and more subscribers who might watch it.

I also have an idea for a new show! I don't want to release the title of it yet, but I think it's going to be a science fiction, fantasy series. I was inspired by "Aspen Heights" and "The Realm of Arragarra" that the brilliant AGsmiless came up with. I've always wanted to do something like that, and now I have an idea :)

Something else that's very exciting for me is that my birthday is in September!! :D I've been talking with my mom ever since May about wanting to go to the AG Place for my birthday (not on my actual birthday) and she's trying to get it to happen. I really, really hope that I can have the opportunity to go. I haven't been to an AG store since 2011 when I went to NYC with a girl-scout troupe, and honestly it wasn't very fun at all. So, I hope to do that and make some wonderful birthday memories :)

New Movie!!!!

Hey everyone it's Lanie!! 

I'm super excited to tell you guys about the newest americangirl9907 movie that is being filmed right now. It's called "#august" and it stars me and Isabelle!! :D We are playing twins who have wasted away their summer on social media, and want to make the best of their last 2 weeks of summer break. 

So far, filming has been a ton of fun!! For me anyways, I don't know about Izzy. I feel kinda bad for her, I mean, I've had to drag her across the floor and push her into cold water... she's probably waiting to get her revenge! 

Hopefully we can also film some behind the scenes too. I think that would be cool! 

I can't wait to see how this all turns out, and I can't wait for all of you guys to see it either!!

Upcoming Videos!

Hey everyone, it's Rae!

Wow, is it really August already?! I feel like yesterday is was January and now it's August... time flies way too quickly nowadays.

Anyways, I just wanted to update you guys on some new videos that should be coming out:

My biggest stopmotion titled "Best Friend Getaway" should be coming out later this week. I'm working on adding in all of the audio now, so I can't say an exact date for when that will be out.

A new movie is in the works! And this time I'm moving away from the "drama" genre, and this next movie will be a comedy! Hopefully you guys will actually consider my humor "funny". The weather has been very uncooperative lately, so I'm not sure when I will be able to begin filming for that either (most of it will hopefully be filmed outdoors). But after I finish my stopmotion, I will begin filming the indoor scenes.

There will be a second "Remember" movie!! I have had quite a few requests for a sequel and it's DEFINITELY going to happen :) It is going to be titled "Remember 2: Journey to Elsewhere". Mostly the same cast, but with a few new faces.

And in the mix of new videos there will be more "Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs", photoshoots, and just other randomness. 

I know this sounds like a lot but I'm really trying to make my last month of summer worthwhile, even if it does mean running around like a chicken with my head cut off, I'll at least get a feeling of accomplishment when summer's over and I see all that I've done. 

I hope you guys are looking forward to some new videos :D

Meet Hope Williams, a 15 year old girl battling osteosarcoma. Being a teenager is bad enough, but add in chemo every week, not being able to go home due to chemo, friend troubles, and the possibility of loosing your leg! Hope definitely isn't going to give up... after all, she's an overcomer.

This is actually my first ever movie that I'm in and I had a blast during filming! I sadly had to sacrifice my beautiful purple hair to really get into character #sadface... but it's all good because it's back now ☺

Aside from me, the other dolls in this movie include: Allyson Klein, Ruthie Smithens, McKenna Brooks, and more! 

I really hope you guys will go check out the movie and tell us what you think! ☻

Long Time, No Post

Hey guys, it's Rae!

I am so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry for not posting since June 30th!! :( I feel horrible, but I'm going to get back on track!

So, since my last post I have been really busy! The biggest time consumer was the movie I filmed... which premiered yesterday on my AGtube!! :D (I will link it in my next post that will be alllllll about the film ;) )

I am super behind on my filming schedule and I really need to get caught up o_O

A new episode of "Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs!" should hopefully be up tomorrow or Monday, depending on if I get my butt in gear.

Again, I'm really sorry for not posting in so long, and sorry this is such a short post but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm not abandoning my blog ;)

UPDATES: Let the Craziness Commence...

Hello everyone it's Alyssa, and today I will be giving you guys a quick update about just how busy we're going to be for the next 2 weeks...

To get started, if you don't want to sit here and read all the updates, you can watch our updates video on our AGtube: IMPORTANT UPDATES 6/28/14 PLEASE WATCH!

Ok, so to get started it's June 30th... the last day of relaxation before the craziness begins:

From July 1st to July 2nd, Rae will be at her friend's sleepover birthday party.

From July 2nd (when she gets home) to July 5th we'll be going on vacation to our family cottage in the mountains... and of course, there's no internet!

Then from July 7th to July 11th Rae will be at day camp with a friend. Meaning she'll leave in the morning and come home in the afternoon to sleep at home.

Now what all this means is that we will not be present on AGtube during these time periods. But we will still try and post on Instagram if we can find internet.

☼ Allyson's Summer Safety Tips ☼

Hey guys, it's Allyson!

Now that it's officially summer, I've decided to share some summer safety tips with you guys!

Whether you're swimming, going to a cookout, or camping it's important to stay safe:

☼ Always, ALWAYS wear sunscreen when you're outside! ☼

This one is a biggie; nothing ruins a vacation quite like the pain and embarrassment of a sunburn.

But... what causes sunburn?

If you're outside in the hot sun (swimming or trying to get a tan or anything!) what happens is the sun's harmful rays penetrate the top layer of your skin. Blood rushes to the scene of the crime to start the healing process of your damaged skin cells and causes the red color.

Sunburn is SUPER painful! And the best remedy for treating sunburn is aloe. Aloe comes from a plant, and not only is it very soothing for sunburn but it's actually cheap and easy to find!

How to not get a sunburn in the first place?

WEAR SUNSCREEN! This kind of goes without saying!

Make sure to wear a sunscreen with a high enough SPF and try and find the waterproof stuff. It's great for swimming and for when you're just running around sweating. Don't forget to reapply sunscreen every hour or so!

☼ Always, ALWAYS have a first-aid kit on hand! ☼

It's important to carry a first-aid kit with you at all times, and it doesn't have to be anything big!

I bet if you were hiking and you fell and cut your leg, you'd want to have a bandage to put on it, right? Right!

Some things you can put in your own first aid kit are: lots of bandages (of different sizes too!), aloe or burn relief spray, painkillers, tweezers, Neosporin (or something similar), your EpiPen (if you need one), itch relief gel (for those nasty mosquito bites), etc.

☼ Always, ALWAYS wear adequate shoes! ☼

Okay, I know this one sounds kind of dumb, but you wouldn't want to wear flip-flops for a journey through the woods? Probably not...

Make sure to wear shoes that support your feet and are comfortable for longs periods of walking, running, etc.

Don't wear shoes that will give you a blister! True, some sandals won't give you a blister, but lots of them can and will! So if you absolutely have to wear a pair of sandals that might give you a blister, put a band-aid on the backs of your heels to maybe try and prevent that.

☼ Always, ALWAYS swim in the right depth for you! ☼

I know, it does look like fun to jump off the high dive into the 25 ft. deep water... but quite frankly it's not safe if you can't swim in it!

Lot's of pools have summer classes you can take to learn how to swim, if you don't know how to. And sometimes you have to take a swim test to be able to swim in the deeper waters at the beach. Which is really smart!

Yes, there are lifeguards at the pool and the beach, but what about at home? If you have a pool at your house, ask an adult to watch you while you swim, just for safety precautions, even if you're a good swimmer.

And if you have a little sibling/relative that you have to swim with, just stay with them for a little while and then go off and swim in the deeper water.

☼ Always, ALWAYS wear bugspray! ☼

Especially at night, the bugs are like an army! Mosquitoes are the worst, mainly because they can spread disease. It's impossible to avoid them, but you can repel them. 

Mosquitoes are drawn to a person's sweat, dark clothing, and body heat. To keep them away try wearing light colored shirts (not only will it help repel mosquitoes but it'll help you stay cooler in the hot sun), wear bug spray, and, believe it or not, stick dryer sheets in your pockets!


So, those are a few of my summer safety tips! I hope these tips will help you guys to have a fun and safe summer! ☺

A Busy Month Ahead!

July is definitely going to be... interesting.

The first week of July I will be on vacation, and of course I'll be bringing some dolls with me! And I'll be doing lots of filming! 
My Doll Related Packing List:

1) Dolls: Alyssa, Addie, Felicity, Isabelle, and Callie
2) LOTS of clothes for the girls ;)
3) my camera (Canon Powershot) and battery charger
4) 2 SD cards
5) tripod
6) bike and helmet
7) suitcase(s?) 
8) tent

And of course I'll bring a bunch of little extras as well, but that's what I've got on my list so far. 

I'm planning a possible movie I might film while I'm on vacation... but I'm not sure yet if I will. 

And from July 7-11th I will be attending a day camp with my friend, so I won't have the time to upload any new videos or write any new blog posts, but I will still do my daily Instagram post so don't forget to check that out :) 

I have tons of stopmotions, live action videos, and a few movies planned as well as my first music video! :D

My Opinion on BeForever

So, everyone who is on AGtube (American Girl YouTube) or AGIG (American Girl Instagram) or anybody that is involved with or owns an AG doll probably knows about BeForever. In fact AG has posted 2 videos on their YouTube channel pretty much revealing BeForever, as well as posts on Facebook and Twitter.

I personally find BeForever disappointing, especially because they will be retiring Marie-Grace, Cecile, Ruthie, and Ivy. They should NOT be retiring 4 dolls at once! And poor Marie-Grace and Cecile have only been around since 2011, making them the shortest lived AG characters. And with the retirement of Ruthie and Ivy, the Best Friend collection will be no more...

But with the retirement of these 4 dolls, a beloved character will be making a comeback. Apparently due to popular demand, Samantha, will be returning this fall with the new revamped historical line.

It's kind of neat to see that a character is coming back, but I don't think they really need to redo the ENTIRE historical collection along with that! It's ridiculous! And we all know what a new and "improved" line means: higher prices. I'm really just getting so irritated with AG's prices that I'm tempted to just about stop purchasing with them all together! But who knows, maybe it won't be that bad... :(

On the Hunt for Summer Doll Clothes!

Hey guys, it's Rae!

Looking for dolls clothes is actually a lot harder than it seems, mainly money wise. Quite frankly, American Girl brand doll clothes are NOT cheap by any means, and the prices just keep going up, up, up!

A big chunk of my dolls' clothes consists of jeans/pants and long sleeved shirts, and we all know that no doll wants to be out in the hot summer weather wearing pants and a sweatshirt! So, I'm on the hunt to find my dolls some new summer clothes!

I do have quite a few t-shirts, so what I'm looking for is mainly shorts/skirts and tank tops. Although AG does have a couple of new outfits, I will not be purchasing them. Instead, I'm taking my search to the wonderful world of Etsy.

Etsy is great because there are so many different sellers and, for the most part, they aren't really all that expensive! But making doll clothes is hard! Trust me, I've tried and failed horribly, so I can understand why some people charge way more than others. But that's the beauty of it all! If you can't afford one persons items, you can definitely find someone else whose things you can afford!

I have found tons of sellers that I like, but before I go and spend all my money, I'm going to go to Target and check out some of the Our Generation stuff. OG things are very cute and very affordable, but aren't always the best quality and can sometimes have defects. But I'm still going to look!

Hopefully I can find my dolls some cute clothes that won't cost me an arm and a leg, and hopefully they'll have them before we go on vacation in July :)

New Summer Series: Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs!

Hello everyone, it's Felicity here!

I have a some exciting news for you guys: I'm starting my very own series! It's called Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs! I'm so happy that I get to film a series and share my craziness with you guys! 

The first episode is already up, and I'm hoping to have a video up every week but that's not set in stone. And it won't be in seasons, it'll just be a continuous series! 

I'm just so insanely excited!! Got any ideas for my vlogs? I'm willing to do just about anything and I've always wanted to do something like "Felicity Reacts To..." or "Felicity's Opinion On..." types of things, so if you guys have any good thoughts for me I'd love to hear them :D

Nicki's Hair: Before and After

Hey guys, it's Nicki!
I decided to write this post because I just got my hair straightened yesterday and I wanted to show you guys the before and after:

So, about two months ago I had a downy dunk to try and make my hair look better, it worked a little but not that much.

As you can see, the ends of my hair were super frizzy and looked horrible!

Here's a side by side comparison of my hair halfway done. 

Yay! It's done! My hair is much more relaxed now and the shininess and softness has been restored! Hey, I was Rae's first curly haired doll, so I guess I'm sort of a guinea pig... but now my hair is just like new again! Except it's straight... not curly.

Here you can see that the frizzy ends are no more! I can't believe that a straightening iron and lots of water could make my hair look like new again! I'm so happy, and I think I actually like my straight hair. It's much more manageable and it gives me a new look!
