Hello everyone it's Alyssa, and today I will be giving you guys a quick update about just how busy we're going to be for the next 2 weeks...

Ok, so to get started it's June 30th... the last day of relaxation before the craziness begins:
From July 1st to July 2nd, Rae will be at her friend's sleepover birthday party.
From July 2nd (when she gets home) to July 5th we'll be going on vacation to our family cottage in the mountains... and of course, there's no internet!
Then from July 7th to July 11th Rae will be at day camp with a friend. Meaning she'll leave in the morning and come home in the afternoon to sleep at home.
Now what all this means is that we will not be present on AGtube during these time periods. But we will still try and post on Instagram if we can find internet.

☼ Allyson's Summer Safety Tips ☼
Hey guys, it's Allyson!
Now that it's officially summer, I've decided to share some summer safety tips with you guys!
Whether you're swimming, going to a cookout, or camping it's important to stay safe:
☼ Always, ALWAYS wear sunscreen when you're outside! ☼
This one is a biggie; nothing ruins a vacation quite like the pain and embarrassment of a sunburn.
But... what causes sunburn?
If you're outside in the hot sun (swimming or trying to get a tan or anything!) what happens is the sun's harmful rays penetrate the top layer of your skin. Blood rushes to the scene of the crime to start the healing process of your damaged skin cells and causes the red color.
Sunburn is SUPER painful! And the best remedy for treating sunburn is aloe. Aloe comes from a plant, and not only is it very soothing for sunburn but it's actually cheap and easy to find!
How to not get a sunburn in the first place?
WEAR SUNSCREEN! This kind of goes without saying!
Make sure to wear a sunscreen with a high enough SPF and try and find the waterproof stuff. It's great for swimming and for when you're just running around sweating. Don't forget to reapply sunscreen every hour or so!
☼ Always, ALWAYS have a first-aid kit on hand! ☼
It's important to carry a first-aid kit with you at all times, and it doesn't have to be anything big!
I bet if you were hiking and you fell and cut your leg, you'd want to have a bandage to put on it, right? Right!
Some things you can put in your own first aid kit are: lots of bandages (of different sizes too!), aloe or burn relief spray, painkillers, tweezers, Neosporin (or something similar), your EpiPen (if you need one), itch relief gel (for those nasty mosquito bites), etc.
☼ Always, ALWAYS wear adequate shoes! ☼
Okay, I know this one sounds kind of dumb, but you wouldn't want to wear flip-flops for a journey through the woods? Probably not...
Make sure to wear shoes that support your feet and are comfortable for longs periods of walking, running, etc.
Don't wear shoes that will give you a blister! True, some sandals won't give you a blister, but lots of them can and will! So if you absolutely have to wear a pair of sandals that might give you a blister, put a band-aid on the backs of your heels to maybe try and prevent that.
☼ Always, ALWAYS swim in the right depth for you! ☼
I know, it does look like fun to jump off the high dive into the 25 ft. deep water... but quite frankly it's not safe if you can't swim in it!
Lot's of pools have summer classes you can take to learn how to swim, if you don't know how to. And sometimes you have to take a swim test to be able to swim in the deeper waters at the beach. Which is really smart!
Yes, there are lifeguards at the pool and the beach, but what about at home? If you have a pool at your house, ask an adult to watch you while you swim, just for safety precautions, even if you're a good swimmer.
And if you have a little sibling/relative that you have to swim with, just stay with them for a little while and then go off and swim in the deeper water.

Especially at night, the bugs are like an army! Mosquitoes are the worst, mainly because they can spread disease. It's impossible to avoid them, but you can repel them.
Mosquitoes are drawn to a person's sweat, dark clothing, and body heat. To keep them away try wearing light colored shirts (not only will it help repel mosquitoes but it'll help you stay cooler in the hot sun), wear bug spray, and, believe it or not, stick dryer sheets in your pockets!
So, those are a few of my summer safety tips! I hope these tips will help you guys to have a fun and safe summer! ☺

A Busy Month Ahead!
July is definitely going to be... interesting.
The first week of July I will be on vacation, and of course I'll be bringing some dolls with me! And I'll be doing lots of filming!
My Doll Related Packing List:
1) Dolls: Alyssa, Addie, Felicity, Isabelle, and Callie
2) LOTS of clothes for the girls ;)
3) my camera (Canon Powershot) and battery charger
4) 2 SD cards
5) tripod
6) bike and helmet
7) suitcase(s?)
8) tent
And of course I'll bring a bunch of little extras as well, but that's what I've got on my list so far.
I'm planning a possible movie I might film while I'm on vacation... but I'm not sure yet if I will.
And from July 7-11th I will be attending a day camp with my friend, so I won't have the time to upload any new videos or write any new blog posts, but I will still do my daily Instagram post so don't forget to check that out :)

My Opinion on BeForever
So, everyone who is on AGtube (American Girl YouTube) or AGIG (American Girl Instagram) or anybody that is involved with or owns an AG doll probably knows about BeForever. In fact AG has posted 2 videos on their YouTube channel pretty much revealing BeForever, as well as posts on Facebook and Twitter.
I personally find BeForever disappointing, especially because they will be retiring Marie-Grace, Cecile, Ruthie, and Ivy. They should NOT be retiring 4 dolls at once! And poor Marie-Grace and Cecile have only been around since 2011, making them the shortest lived AG characters. And with the retirement of Ruthie and Ivy, the Best Friend collection will be no more...
But with the retirement of these 4 dolls, a beloved character will be making a comeback. Apparently due to popular demand, Samantha, will be returning this fall with the new revamped historical line.
It's kind of neat to see that a character is coming back, but I don't think they really need to redo the ENTIRE historical collection along with that! It's ridiculous! And we all know what a new and "improved" line means: higher prices. I'm really just getting so irritated with AG's prices that I'm tempted to just about stop purchasing with them all together! But who knows, maybe it won't be that bad... :(

On the Hunt for Summer Doll Clothes!
Hey guys, it's Rae!
Looking for dolls clothes is actually a lot harder than it seems, mainly money wise. Quite frankly, American Girl brand doll clothes are NOT cheap by any means, and the prices just keep going up, up, up!
A big chunk of my dolls' clothes consists of jeans/pants and long sleeved shirts, and we all know that no doll wants to be out in the hot summer weather wearing pants and a sweatshirt! So, I'm on the hunt to find my dolls some new summer clothes!
I do have quite a few t-shirts, so what I'm looking for is mainly shorts/skirts and tank tops. Although AG does have a couple of new outfits, I will not be purchasing them. Instead, I'm taking my search to the wonderful world of Etsy.
Etsy is great because there are so many different sellers and, for the most part, they aren't really all that expensive! But making doll clothes is hard! Trust me, I've tried and failed horribly, so I can understand why some people charge way more than others. But that's the beauty of it all! If you can't afford one persons items, you can definitely find someone else whose things you can afford!
I have found tons of sellers that I like, but before I go and spend all my money, I'm going to go to Target and check out some of the Our Generation stuff. OG things are very cute and very affordable, but aren't always the best quality and can sometimes have defects. But I'm still going to look!
Hopefully I can find my dolls some cute clothes that won't cost me an arm and a leg, and hopefully they'll have them before we go on vacation in July :)

New Summer Series: Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs!

I have a some exciting news for you guys: I'm starting my very own series! It's called Felicity's Fantastic Vlogs! I'm so happy that I get to film a series and share my craziness with you guys!
The first episode is already up, and I'm hoping to have a video up every week but that's not set in stone. And it won't be in seasons, it'll just be a continuous series!
I'm just so insanely excited!! Got any ideas for my vlogs? I'm willing to do just about anything and I've always wanted to do something like "Felicity Reacts To..." or "Felicity's Opinion On..." types of things, so if you guys have any good thoughts for me I'd love to hear them :D

Nicki's Hair: Before and After
Hey guys, it's Nicki!
I decided to write this post because I just got my hair straightened yesterday and I wanted to show you guys the before and after:
So, about two months ago I had a downy dunk to try and make my hair look better, it worked a little but not that much.
As you can see, the ends of my hair were super frizzy and looked horrible!
Here's a side by side comparison of my hair halfway done.
Yay! It's done! My hair is much more relaxed now and the shininess and softness has been restored! Hey, I was Rae's first curly haired doll, so I guess I'm sort of a guinea pig... but now my hair is just like new again! Except it's straight... not curly.
Here you can see that the frizzy ends are no more! I can't believe that a straightening iron and lots of water could make my hair look like new again! I'm so happy, and I think I actually like my straight hair. It's much more manageable and it gives me a new look!
